Underrated

I think this scary little film is underrated. The whole premise of what Ronnie De Feo did to his family is terrifying. Some people on this board are getting a little too worked up over inconsistencies between this and the original film. If you look at this film as a stand alone it's quite unsettling and has some very creepy and truly horrifying moments. Of course it is over the top but it's a certain take on what "possessed" the main character to blow his entire family away with a gun. Nobody will ever know what was going on in the mind of Ronald De Feo that night.

Ah it was ok. Decent watch. But far creepier films out there than this. I'd say the films reputation is right.

As for Ron De Feo. Guy was a *beep* nut. He was mentally ill. Not sure what you mean by we'll never know what went through his mind that night. Nothing to know. He's insane. His story would change non-stop. Perhaps his sister was involved, but he seems to shift the blame as if not to accept what he did.

But there is nothing to know. Ron was mentally ill and people like that can be violent. It's all quite simple.

Some people wanna make more out of the situation than there is.

I think the film is underrated as well. Nobody really seems to like it and I can't figure out why. It is one of the darkest films I've ever seen. At least in the first film, the family had their share of happy moments before the horror started. But in this film, the family was a complete wreck right from the start. I felt very sorry for all of the characters (except for the scumbag father) and any good horror movie makes you feel something for the characters. This film doesn't deserve it's bad reputation whatsoever.

I've been waiting for you, Ben.
