Any idea if they were the first to live in this house? The house looked fairly new in and out and was in much nicer condition than in part 1.

Remember the old lady told the priest that she knew some strange stories about the house, and then we see both of them looking through some archives and she tells him that a witch violated the Indians laws against building on an ancient burial ground. Apparently the house had been there for years, but there's no mention in the movie of any previous families living there.
