Ugly Actors

Never seen a movie with so many hideous looking actors and actresses. Would it have killed them to hire one attractive actor?

reply

Moviegoers generally prefer to see the ugly ones die. I didn't like the priest at all and though he didn't die, felt he got what he deserved in the end.

are you insane ?!!!
Diane Franklin and Rutanya Alda were in this film. Now that is one Mother/daughter threesome I'd like to be involved in !!!

reply

Yeah, why did Sonny only get with his sister and not his mother, too?

I'm happiest...in the saddle.

reply

I'm confident that was in the "director's cut" which hopefully one day we'll get to see LOL

reply

Diane Franklin was in no way ugly in this movie.

Most people are not beautiful. Many actors & actresses these days are edited to look flawless on screen

LOL!

So put some spice in my sauce, honey in my tea, an ace up my sleeve and a slinkyplanb

reply

It's not the worst word for it. In more than one movie bags under eyes have been softened out by CGI. Seriously.

reply

I'm aware - it just sounded funny is all...

The daughter & mother were beautiful.

Even Sonny had an interesting look.

"I'd say this cloud is Cumulo Nimbus."
"Didn't he discover America?"
"Penfold, shush."

They seemed like realistic, normal looking people to me. Like another person said, these days you have to look like an attractive model to be cast in any movie. I don't think every single person should be "ugly," but not everybody in the world is beautiful either. Perhaps they should use mixtures of both.

Burn, witch! Burn, witch! Burn! Burn! Burn!

One issue I have with modern-day Hollywood movies, is that in many cases they cast actors/actresses based on good looks, rather than acting ability. Too many model-looking types makes the film look plastic, unrealistic and even narcissist.

Too many good-looking people in a film, can be distracting.

IMO, the casting in Amityville 2 was great.

Who needs a load of beautiful people in a horror film about a dysfunctional family?

Burt Young played the rough, violent, disciplinarian father brilliantly -similar to his Paulie character from the Rocky films. It wouldn't have been realistic to see Mrs Montelli - his wife - played by some beautiful actress.

Sonny (Jack Magner) was definitely no pin-up boy, but this made his character more believable. He came across as weird and unsettling. And once he became possesed - more menacing. Far better to have someone like him in the role than some 'pretty-boy'.

I thought Jack Magner gave a really good performance and it's a shame he didn't continue as an actor.

as other said... hello... Diane Franklin anyone? Very attractive young lady.

reply

Yeah, Dianne Franklin, what a dog! I wouldn't *bleep* her with your *bleep*--because I'd definitely want to use my own.

Seriously, EVERYBODY in this movie, including Burt Young believe it or not, was more attractive than the real DeFeo family members they were loosely based on ("feo" means "ugly" in Spanish, and it might in Italian too). Franklin and Rutanya Alda were pretty much the exact OPPOSITE of ugly. what a stupid think to complain about.

Hello obvious troll. Hate to break it to ya, but you're kinda obvious.
