T.J. Hooker divorces?

Saw one where his wife gets slapped and robbed and almost loses her sight, then saw another where he was obviously divorced. Do they ever show him going through the divorce or was she already the ex wife when she got robbed?

They were already divorced.

Yes, they were divorced when the show began. I really enjoyed his scenes with Fran. I wish they would have kept her in the storyline.
