Of all The Shat's work, this is the most Shat-tacular.
There are three notable stages in the Shatner life cycle:
1. "William Shatner" - from beginning of career to early 1980s. For most part has to survive on meagre offerings of guest star roles in Columbo and Mission: Impossible. Ego sometimes out of control but blame for cutting George Takei's lines carefully placed at the doors of others.
2. "The Shat" - *beep* the fellow actors and directors, writers and producers, it's the toupee and girdle that matter most during this stage that begins with TJ Hooker and lasts for approximately 20 years. Big hair. Even bigger acting.
3. "Bill" - more relaxed, self-deprecatory, introspective, circumspect and pragmatic. This period begins with the release of "Has Been" album collaboration with Ben Folds and continues to present day.
"You really do have a magnificent abdomen." §
