Season 3-5 ever coming out?

Even though I own the complete 1st and 2nd season at this point I personally wouldn't care If Sony released the "Entire Series" on DVD and or HD DVD/Blue Ray- like some studios have.

Just the complete series of TJ Hooker (instead of fans dealing with overpriced online bootleggers)

I would probably buy a box set of the entire series myself even though I have Seasons One and Two. I want the James Darren episodes. In the meantime there is a petition at TJ Hooker.com to get the rest of the series released (if you haven't signed it yet go there and do so) and you can suggest it over at tvland.com (there's a section called switch board where you can vote for certain programs and suggest others). Also request it at programming suggestions at the tvland.com site.

james darren sucks, i liked zmed but he left the show right?

It would be nice to have the entire series released at once, even though season 1 & 2 are out. Timelife has done an incredible job with Get Smart & Man From Uncle. I can only hope that someday they will get their hands on T.J. Hooker, Greatest American Hero(needs released with original music) & Hunter(Same as GAH) and release them correctly. Luckily I bought the region 4 T.J. Hooker set and it has my favorite episode "Carnal Express" on it. This episode is famous for showcasing Heather Locklear in a tiny exotic dancer outfit, jiggling her goods on stage. I would love to see her do a commentary on this episode someday.

Was my favorite James Darren in it?

reply

Yes, this was about the fourth episode that he appeared in. He started late in Season 2.

I thought he was thank you.

I hope so. But even the unbox episodes on Amazon are the ones that have already been released (first season only). And unbox episodes aren't much good if you only have dial up like me.

Hopefully there is good news ahead. Shout Factory is starting to release shows that stopped being released for whatever reason. They have picked up Adam-12 and Son of the Beach. Hopefully they pick up T.J. Hooker, Quincy and Dragnet.

Do they have a website?

reply

Yes, it is www.shoutfactory.com

Whatever the case is, I hope they'll release it soon - I watched Seasons 1-2 so quickly that I'm long overdue for another TJ Hooker marathon. Companies are releasing so many crappy series on DVD, yet this show is having trouble getting it's remaining episodes released?

reply

I am asking for Shout Factory to please release the rest of the T.J. Hooker seasons. They have done a great job by picking up some other classics:Mr. Ed, Patty Duke, Adam-12 & Simon & Simon. And how about Dragnet? The color series is the one I want finished off.

I am wondering with all this talk about a TJ Hooker Movie, if that will speed things along for the release of Seasons 3, 4 and 5 on DVD? One can hope right? I am also a big fan of the show and have been waiting patiently for those seasons to be released.

Look at Hill Street Blues (seasons one and two only released) or
St. Elsewhere (season one only released) these are 80's shows now
into being 4 decades past and the distributors only seem to deal
in the shows of the 00 and 10 decades. They miss the point that these
would be huge sellers, but they think TV didn't start until
Seinfeld and Friends were on TV.
