C'mon the films have taken a fortune, they have released the latest series on dvd, what about the best series of them all? Get Firestar and Iceman on DVD with Spiderman, the series was fantastic, does anyone know if a dvd release is in the future???
I feel for you, brother. I, myself, have been waiting years for this release. I bought some bootleg videos of the entire series on ebay a few years ago. The quality sucked, but that will have to suffice until a proper release on DVD. This was, hands down, my favorite cartoon as a youngster.
I don't know when, but it ought to have been done by now. Actually, all of the Spider-Man TV from the '70s & '80s (cartoons and live-action shows) should be available as DVDs. The companies that own these old programs should be cashing in on the current Spider-Man movie franchise! I wouldn't even mind bare-bones DVD releases as long as the audio/video quality is 1st rate.

Unfortunately, not enough Spider-Man TV has been getting onto official DVD, even in the wake of the blockbuster movies. So far the only really old (pre-'90s) Spider-Man shows that have gotten the DVD treatment seem to be: the '60s cartoon (that whole ABC series got one boxed set), the mostly live-action "Spidey Super Stories" from the '70s (a few of these shorts got included in best-ofs for old PBS kiddie show "The Electric Company"), and the live-action Japanese series from the late '70s (whole thing got a boxed set, but this probably can't be found in U.S. stores). Admittedly, the lack of DVDs for the '80s Spider-Man cartoons & the '70s CBS live Spider-Man is more excusable than the lack of DVDs for the very famous Batman TV series. That is arguably the most successful superhero show of all time, and it's yet to get the DVD treatment despite all the movie & cartoon success the Batman character has had since 1989.
