Dog in the opening sequence

im sure he/she is long gone, but he/she will always be alive during the opening. it will always be a beautiful vermont day as he/she lopes along without a care in the world. RIP little doggy...

My boyfriend and I always love seeing that dog in the opening, we just commented on it tonight. The dog looks so happy. Glad you mentioned it.

I WATCH FOR THAT ALL TIME WITH THE LUTE PLAYING. I L[VED BACK THEN IN SIMILAR SURROUNDINGS AND I SO WELL UNDERSTAND A DOGS STATE OF MIND .. IF I COULD GO BACK TO THAT KIND SETTING ['LD BE GONE

It amazes me the dog didn't chase after the car as it drives by and get killed.

I read somewhere that the these scenes were from On Golden Pond and were filmed in New Hampshire not Vermont. The Inn was actually here-457 East Main Street
East Middlebury, VT 05740.
I watch the opening and find it so relaxing-I guess it was a simpler time for me-I was 12 or 13 and the Mancini music is amazing.
