Kirk and Cindy's Wedding

The sweet and beautiful Cindy does not have one single friend or relative to come to her wedding ??
The entire wedding party consisted of Dick as the best man, Joanna as the maid of Honor, Stephanie as the bridesmade, and George as the usher who gives her away...and the guests assembled in the seats are Larry, his brother Daryl and his other brother Darryl, and other assorted towns people..no friends or relatives of Cindy's.

And not to mention that Stephanie had a one night stand with Kirk the season before that Stephanie apparently couldn't even remember. Why would Kirk and Cindy even want her as a bridesmaid?

I hear you, Dini ! I had a love-hate relationship with Stephanie. Sometimes I liked her for how funny she was, but other times I hated her for being so selfish, conceited, and condescending, especially to George. Remember the episode where he told her they couldn't be friends anymore because she never came through with things she promised to do with him, then took his hurt so trivially. I was proud of George for finally standing up to her, but then he forgave her.

I remember the episode about George and Stephanie, but I meant it was just weird that Stephanie couldn't remember the fling with Kirk, which was only the year before? Is she that promiscuous? And wouldn't kirk's big ego be so deflated that he wouldn't want her around him and his new fiancée? Also, wouldn't Cindy be at least a little jealous and uncomfortable having his past sexual partner around? Especially as a bridesmaid?

Julia Duffy's guest spot in season 1 was not intended (at that time) to be anything other than that. But obviously she impressed the producers and Bob Newhart with her work and they decided to make her a cast member when they revamped the show after the 1st season. And they chose not to explore any further relationship between Kirk and Stephanie beyond that 1 episode, which can be viewed as a stand-alone episode since nothing became of the relationship.

Yes, I know they decided to ignore the previous storyline but I still say it was a poor decision on their part. Doesn't keep me from being a big fan of the show though. I just skip that episode of the affair between Kirk and Stephanie and also most of the second season. Liked the first season in general though.

Kirk also admitted to the priest that he was a virgin. How sad. Even said he had witnesses to prove it!

l o l ....Yes, but remember that Kirk was a pathological liar !
