Optimized K.I.T.T.

I have sometimes thought about a real-life 'K.I.T.T.', and now that technology has advanced enough to at least finally make self-driving cars a possibility, how far could a real-world 'K.I.T.T.' be actually manufactured...?

The whole 'car' idea make it too limited, though. If K.I.T.T. could be a 'vessel' (in essence, a UFO-type 'beamship'), it would all come together easily and make a lot more sense.

I think an 'energy field' of some kind would be a necessity for proper propulsion to make the 'jumps' possible, as well as 'invincibility'. It'd open doors to so many possibilities that would otherwise be difficult to achieve. If you could keep up an adjustable (at least the frequency) 'radiation field' around the car at all times, you could make it do tricks even more impossible than shown in the show.

For exampe, by adjusting the frequency to be high enough, the car could become 'invisible', and could actually travel vast distances in a blink of an eye. Being able to travel in higher dimensional planes, like etheric plane or even the lower astral plane, would definitely have stupendous benefits.

The problem is, that to make such an energy field possible, and to make all those physical feats K.I.T.T. does in the show possible, you'd have to basically upgrade the vessel from a 'car' to a 'spaceship' (which I wouldn't have a problem with, but then it would be a very different show).

To be able to jump like that, K.I.T.T. would have to basically be able to remove 'mass property' (by elevating the surrounding energy field's frequency, this can be achieved), so it won't get damaged by the landing, and so it can lift off in the first place. But this would make it a 'flying craft' instead of just a car.

What I am trying to get at here, is that to make a vessel (like a car) to be able to do those things, it would have to be raised to a level where it can ALSO do much better things, which makes being able to do the original things completely redundant and meaningless.

That's the sad reality for an 'optimized K.I.T.T.' - it would basically have to either remain a car that can't jump, or become a UFO-style spaceship that can do SO much better things that no one would even care about the jumping anymore.

Now, if we think in a more 'grounded', or for some, 'realistic' or 'mainstream Earth-tech' way, a relatively advanced 'K.I.T.T.' could be made, perhaps.

It could look like K.I.T.T., it could have a 'relatively bulletproof' surface and windows, it could go 'relatively fast' (though without creating your own gravity, how are you going to steer or slow down at K.I.T.T.'s shown super speeds..? The energy field would solve this, too)

It could have a 'relatively good' self-driving ability, GPS, etc. as well, so a lot of this would be possible.

You'd have to just drop some of the more fantastic things, like:

- A.I. with a personality (I don't see this happening just by programming - A.I. is never going to have a personality, because it can never have a soul). This can be solved by usage of communicating with actual people in the base or whatnot, so you'd have the same effect, just with actual people instead of a smart-aleck computer.

- Casual Telekinesis - the way K.I.T.T. opens doors or manipulates car engines or electronics, jams signals, etc. is maybe the second most ridiculous thing about this show, and would definitely not be a possibility. Nikola Tesla invented 'wireless transmission of power', but we don't even use that yet. Let alone a computer being able to do telekinesis..

- The 'Omnipotent' and 'Omniscient' nature, being able to scan everywhere and show footage from places where there are no cameras to capture that footage, and in real time, too.. , being able to connect to anywhere and everywhere and just 'arrange' things magically, analyze any given object thoroughly (how does that work anyway?), or being able to see through clothing and such (seeing if someone is carrying a piece, etc.)

The self-driving, the 'imperviousness to bullets', the 'conversation with someone', the GPS features, and really fast speeds can be done nowadays, though, so with 'regular Earth-tech', maybe 30-40% of K.I.T.T. could be possible. If we go beyond that, then more of it would be possible, but then it'd have to be able to hover, 'fly', basically teleport and do so much more, there's no point in calling it a 'car' at that point - and no point in just remaining on Earth, when you could go explore other worlds..

I guess a 'spaceship' like that would be the most optimal K.I.T.T. you can ever manufacture. I'd watch that show, although it'd be very different. Would be neat to see Michael try to seduce a woman of another planet.
