About KITT's voice box. The first half season one that has KITT's voice modulator that was flashing red squared. as Robert Foster took over as Executive of the show, KITT's voice LED was changed to three red lines based on his evil twin KARR.

I never understood the change behind the design with the voice modulator, but I will say that it looked way better in Seasons 3 & 4.
