Devin Was Great for Season 1 But Got All Power Hungry Afterwards

What I mean by that is that Devin was a great boss for season 1. But then got all power hungry by cutting Michael's vacations and used Michael as a thing and didn't recognize Michael as a human being at times. Remember Michael was on the road for sixteen days without a break but Devin ordered him to an assignment despite that? They both needed to have issues of trust. Which they and the writers should had acknowledge that. But failed too.
Liked Devin a lot but he really got way too power hungry and used Michael as a thing and didn't acknowledge him as a human being at times.

i can't say i noticed, but they did seem less 'chummy'. it probably comes from pressure from further up the chain. trying to get better results with less cost is always a balancing act.

True but it seems that Michael and Devin needed to trust one another. Devin needed to acknowledge Michael as a human. But at times, treated him like a servant or peasant boy. At times, Michael needed to put his foot down. Devin lacked empathy at times. Much less sympathy.

I'm sure Devon fully respected Michael, but Devon frequently had little choice over when and where the next assignment would be. The slight friction between the 2 characters made the show great, because beneath the surface we all know that Devon liked Michael and vice versa but neither wanted to admit it. If they didn't like each other, how could they have worked so well together for 4 years?

Yeah but at times wished that Devon would had treated him like a human being. As really Michael at times did needed to put his foot down. As really both men had trust issues. And both men needed to really sit down and talk about it. With Michael should had threatened to quit. And Devon would start listening to Michael more is what the show missed.

Merry Christmas!

Sometimes I wonder if we both watched the same show LOL!

I thought Devon DID treat Michael as a human being, but as Devon once said in an episode (I think it was the one where Stevie was killed), he thought of himself as a father figure to Michael. He was strict and stern, but always fair with Michael and I think Michael liked Devon a lot.

We do just have different opinions. That's all.
