I always fast-forward over the sappy, low-quality theme song. When I watch it via Netflix streaming, if I watch episodes consecutively, it skips over the theme song of subsequent episodes, except for the last note. It's pretty convenient.

Hi JeniferAnne. :)

Yes! I have loved the theme song to the show since I was a little girl, and it always makes me cry. Still does, too, and I get a lump in my throat just thinking about it. <3

..."and I bet we'll be together for a million more..." I also love all the scenes and stills they paired with the song. Evocative, romantic, very very beautiful. They really seemed like a family.

Maybe it's because we are girls, Jen. It's a girl thing and I totally get it. ;)

The closing theme is better with that saxophone and the guitar. So 1980's.

I get emotional hearing it as well.

I belong to Jesus: my Lord, Savior, my eternity, my everything. I love you, Jesus!

I do get a little emotional and I'm a guy. It is more to the nostalgia than the actual song. I think it's a nice tune but very weak for a TV theme

I wish shows were made like this again with theme songs like this. The stuff you take for granted. TV sucks so much now.

I belong to Jesus: my Lord, Savior, my eternity, my everything. I love you, Jesus!

One of my favorite theme songs ever. I just wish METV (or Antenna TV...don't remember which channel I watch it on) would play the whole thing. They skip the "I bet we've been together for a million years..." part.
