Was anyone else annoyed that.....

The living room of the Keaton's was always very dim? Their house looked like someplace grandparents would lived. I guess it was just the lighting but this was a main reason I found this show to be decent, but not one of my favorites. Did anyone else feel that the show sets needed more lighting?

That's what happens when you have a couple of tree hugging hippie parents that don't want to want use up nuclear energy and decide to use low powered lighting instead...

I always found it funny how none of the rooms had any updating in the entire run of the series, seven years. I saw it on the Brady Bunch, and that was only 5 years.

My family had wood paneled living room and then one day my dad decided to paint it white. Man, what a difference!

You would think having an architect and a TV station manager's salary would give them plenty of extra dough. I guess the Keatons were conservative or cheap in their home furnishings.

On All In The Family they did change the wallpaper in the seventh season...

Not at all. I never even noticed!

The house was probably an old Victorian that they were trying to keep true to the original décor. I've lived in my house for six years and haven't changed anything since we moved in, but with small children, I'm reluctant to improve anything for fear that it will get ruined.

Looked pretty normal to me, but I hate bright homes.

I'm still trying to figure out where their driveway was. When they leave the kitchen (on the left side of the house) they go left. When the leave the living room (the right side of the house) they go right. So either way they go away from the middle of the house. Where the heck are their cars?
