Was thinkin about gettin the dvd boxset but have only seen a couple of the later ones (Four men in a car, Four men in a plane). Is it worth the 50 quid my local dvd outlet is charging?

Anyway, to answer the original question, I'm about half-way through disk 5 now and most of the shows have been pretty funny: even the bad ones had their moments. Wouldn't have paid 50 quid, but it was certainly worth 17.99.
Cheers mate. 17.99 sounds good. All I want to hear is Gold by Spandau Ballet skipping in the car. Your indestructable..indestructable..indestructable. Genius!

I bought it full price (50) and i dont think ive ever made a better purchase, BUT the problem is, if (like me) you havent seen any of it exept clips from youtube, you sadly find out that, there are entire episodes of pure crap, that you have to sit through as if its a chore, BUT all in all there are tons of great ones and the special features are well worth it, full lenght extra episode from 1980 before they made 5 go mad in dorset
if you wana go to play.com fine, but id get it in your dvd player ASAP
"I hate the fact that they "beeped" the second Bad News episode, while the language in the first one was left in."
Yeah that bugged me too, I wonder why they did that? Although there are a couple of points in the second one when you can just about hear some un-beeped swearing.
Such as when Colin falls over while they're making the music video you can just about hear him grumble "No I'm not *beep* alright" without a beep, and I think there was another time (possibily during the fight scene in the hotel although I can't quite remember).
Plus of course during their "Warriors of Ghengis Khan" song the line "come and *beep* the singer in a rock and roll band" remains unbeeped.
