Has anybody seen Bad News play live?
I saw them at the Donnigton Festival in about '87, Ozzy was headlining I think. Has anybody else seen them!

shareNo, but I sort of wish I had ! Ade Edmondson is a good guitarist - I read (in Melody Maker I think) that he once beat Bruce Dickinson in a guitar duel. I don't know about the other guys though - did Ade just get some session guys to form a band for the gig? Maybe Nigel and Peter could have been passable musicians but I can't believe he would have got Rik to play bass, the guy was clueless!
I did hear (one of?) their albums though, with their version of "Bohemian Rhapsody" on it. Great stuff, with loads of stuff that wasn't in the TV movies.
" 'Ere, it says sausages there!"
That wouldnt be difficult as Bruce is a singer :p
Bohemian Rhapsody was great but they had some help from a certain Brian May on that one
"Just my way of getting through the day, the samaritans were engagged"
They did make an album for the movie but it was more like a music/comedy album, say like Tenacious D. These guys are now in their early 50's so I wouldn't hold out for anything. The album version of Warriors of Ghengis Khan comes with a hilarious oriental(?) swordfight and sitar solo.
Rik Mayall I have seen seems to be doing a lot of voice work for children's shows now. the last thing I had heard of him doing with Ade was "Bottom" and I don't remember any music in that.
after Bohemian Rhapsody
"Blow f*@king Queen off the stage", Vim
