It's really starting to annoy me watching Norm drinking those tiny glasses of beer!
What size are they and would they be / are they still typical of a Boston bar?
It looks like they're about a half pint size, smaller even than an Australian schooner size...
They look like they're about 12 ounces to me, which is the most common size for a beer in the US. They definitely aren't a half-pint (8 ounces / 1 cup), unless they were made of unusually thick glass.
shareBar glasses often have a very thick bottom or a high kickup, to make them look bigger than they really are. They're a ripoff. One of the reasons I buy beer at the store and drink it at home.
