Charles Sturridge as an Actor in 'Edward the Seventh' (1975)

For those who haven't seen the superb mini-series Edward the Seventh, you may enjoy it for its interesting tie-in to Brideshead Revisited.

Four years before he began directing Brideshead Charles Sturridge appears in the series as The Prince of Wales--the future King Edward VII--from around ages 15-20.

Watching the series, it's not surprising to hear some of the remarks of the actors in Brideshead, who described Sturridge as looking "all of 14". Indeed, I think he looked much younger than his real age.

He comes across as an appealing actor. It's a shame he didn't pursue that end of his career beyond that one series.
