forget pele what about bobby moore the greatest defender

bobby moore was the player i was most excited about seeing in this film he is a legend in the sport this is the most feared player for pele because his fancy skill and speed never fooled bobby. when people talk about the greatest footballers they never mention defenders and for sure he is the greatest defender of all time.

reply

So how come he conceded 4 goals then?

reply

sorry did u not pick up the fact he is a defender because in the role of a defender i am not sure but i think it is just quite possible goals can still be let in. i bet that was at the start of his career but guess what that still does not change the fact he is one of the greatest players and the best defender ever. have u not seen his skill and the effect he has had in football games.

reply

i'm. talking. about the. fil. lum.

reply

well there you go its a film so for dramatic affect they let in some goals

reply

So you're saying Bobby Moore accepted a bribe?

reply

not a bribe a payment for doing a film. you could called it a bribe but he was working on a film so he is pay to do what it says on the script. you are not that stupid u are just playing with my mind

reply

On the other hand, you probably ARE as stupid as you sound.

reply

thanks for that pointless statement but bobby is still the man

reply

I have to agree with you about Moore. To be captain for well supported, but trophy-lite teams (West Ham United and England) and lead them to European and World success shows the quality of the man. Pele said that Bobby Moore was the toughest opponent he ever played against. For me, that says it all.

reply

I still think he pinched that necklace though

reply

NO. THE NEVILLER IS.

AND HE PLAYS FOR THE BESTEST MANAGER EVER FOR THE BESTEST CLUB IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD...

BWAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA. IN ATHENS WE'LL BRING IT BACK HOME. YNWA!

Sir Alex is the greatest manager in the history of the premiership if not the whole history of the League, but will always be remembered for failing at the highest level. His Scotland team of 1986 hardly set the world on fire and dropping Alan Hansen was hardly a masterstroke. Similarly in his TWO decades plus of managing arguably the biggest team in the world he has taken them to one solitary Champions League Final in about 15 attempts. His European record regarding numbers of campaigns to finals ratio leaves him woefully behind Benitez, Wenger, Paisley, Fagan and even Jimmy Armfield. Great manager at one level but hopelessly average on another.
Neville is a great defender but can never be mentioned in the same breath as Bobby Moore.

reply

Forgive this ignorant american (is there any other kind?) but does this mean that Pele never scored while playing against Moore? Would more think that Pele was the best offensive player he ever faced?

He's taking the knife out of the Cheese!
Do you think he wants some cheese?

reply

Why should we "forget" Pele?

reply

beckenbauer was better than moore. moore is one of the greats though and is just behind the kaiser with baresi and maldini for me

I agree with original comment
