Why this movie sucked

I thought the story was fairly complete. I guess for some I could see it would be a slow film to play out, but it did have a complete beginning, middle and end. No matter what anyone says, Sly films have brought in hundreds of millions of dollars. He has had some bad films, yes, but he has been in some very good ones as well. Some of the movies he has made have lasted the test of time, Rambo... Rocky... two very big blockbusters who most all film fans know. Victory is a lessor known film that I thought didnt get as much credit as it deserved. I dont consider myself a sly fan.. nor do I follow soccer and the movie entertained throughout for me.
