right. in the film when john colby is watching the players asking them if they want to play, why does john wark(arthur hayes) say the following "its not like playing for manchester but i will play" well being a big ipswich town fc fan we all know his heart and loyalty was with ipswich(he also played 2 seasons for liverpool and 1 for middlesbrough during his career). but we all know that john colbys profession was a pro footballer for west ham, but all the other allied players were they meant to be pros as well who were just doing there national service?

not sure, but I did read a couple of weeks ago that Johns lines were dubbed by someone else, that really annoyed him and he's not happy that the film is being re-released with the England flag on the cover for the WC!

Cracking player John Wark - I thought he was great when he was playing for Liverpool.

My father always said something similar..."Admit nothing, deny everything, and take all secrets to the grave".

My mother always said, "Keep your eyes and ears open and your mouth shut".
Unfortunately, nine times out of ten I have a problem with the last part.

I believe Wark's lines were dubbed.
