Is the new criterion DVD just re-using the DVD commentary from the 1998 MGM DVD?

Commentary - this audio commentary with director Michael Mann and James Caan initially appeared on the R1 DVD release of Thief. It was recorded in 1995

it is originally from the 1996 Laserdisc release
