The gunfight at the end makes this easily a 9/10

One of my faveorite endings to a film ever. The music, everything, perfect. The perfect conclusion. This is a classic.

I'd be inclined to agree I was enjoying immensely up until then but felt like it need a big climax.

I should never have doubted Mann! A typically gritty and realistic shoot out.

I love the film's final shot, somber, nihilistic ending with Frank disappearing in the night streets...not really an happy ending, IMO.
