Miss Hepburn

I saw them film this on 5th Avenue in New York..and no they ( nor anyone) laughted when this film was distributed.

I recall noticing how tall and how elegant and European Miss Hepburn appeared. What a Lady. What a Star. And good for her as I gather the only good thing to come of this was a brief fling with Ben Gazzarra.

I am a huge Audrey fan, and I own seventeen of her movies, including this one. I received They All Laughed as a gift, but I have to say I HATE this movie. I never laughed and had to watch it twice because I fell asleep the first time because it is so incredibly BORING! Bad accents, bad acting, boring dialogue. This is one of the WORST movies, along with the indie movie LIMP, with a cameo of Michael Hutchence, that I have ever seen. Gigli was a better movie. I don't know why in the world Audrey was in this had to have been a contractual obligation like Bloodline. Anyway, I thought no one could act except for Audrey, and I was so delighted to see someone else so perfectly articulate my thoughts on Audrey in TAL.

I give it two stars, simply because Audrey graces the screen. (Couldn't she have had a better co-star than Gazzara? ugh. He is the tarnish to her star power.)

Interesting. I like Hepburn, but she was probably my least favorite part of this film. For being such a huge star (the biggest star of the film at any rate), she really wasn't given very good dialogue. I loved everyone else in it though, though Ritter's physical comedy got on my nerves a little.

I agree that Audrey had very little to do in the film, though she was working that late 70's look - tight tight jeans, jacket and Yoko Ono shades.

I did not know that she was tall! Stars are often *tiny*!
She seemed like a frail little deer in her films so it was a surprise seeing her stride around in jeans and curly hair. She was the best thing in the movie!

Viva Audrey!
