Tribal village

Movie was mostly horrible but the scenes in the village were kinda entertaining. Maybe there was a backstory about that tribe's chief the "Ivory King". Maybe he was once captured from another expedition as a child, grew up with the tribe and its bizarre rituals. Grown up challenged the tribe's leader to ritual battle, killed him and became the new chief. Ruling with fear, mostlydrunk and drugged, yet deadly.....So maybe the warriors don't intefere in his duel with Tarzan cause its like a ritual battle, challenging the chief, and maybe they also see a chance to get rid off that boozed crazy hulk.....Somehow the Ivory King is some Col. Kurtz like being.....

Agreed, that's some good backstory. Derek wanted to do a variation of the "Terkoz-Scene" from the book, where Tarzan's rival in their ape tribe Terkoz - after being kicked out of the tribe caused by his brutish behaviour - kidnaps Jane to mate with her and found a new tribe. Finally him and Tarzan battle for possession over Jane and she watches as described in the book with mixture of fear and arousal as they test their strength, very raunchy scene. The facial shot of Bo Derek in this movie watching Tarzan and Ivory King locked together in their deadly duel over her exactly mirrors the description in the book with fear and definetly arousal as those two alpha men fight for mating rights
