Why did Charlie not look right at the end?

There must be some form of symbolism in that scene.

I have no military experience but I believe that the marcher most to the right looks straight so the formation keeps going straight (and vice versa if looking left).

I meant the final scene immediately before the end credits.

During the pass in review, the ones to the right of the formation keep their eyes fronted even on the command EYES - RIGHT so that they keep the formation well formed. All the other troops smartly execute eye's right.
