A cult favorite of mine. A+.

Great characterizations and realistic insight into a subculture, right in the good ole USA, rarely shown and seldom - if ever - so powerfully portrayed in films. Good storyline with VERY raw, but not gratuitous, dialogue and extrememly well acted by all, including the obviously very real cajuns therein. Extremely engrossing from beginning to very end. HIGHLY recommended! A direction, production and editing masterpiece as well.

If Hollywood had any real guts films like this would get awards. Fat chance!

If you can't appreciate this film you are too self obsessed and hung up on PC to know anything about the real world - and so don't count anyway.
