Best line
When boothes carridine and the black guy walk up to the captured cajun, and ask who hit him,and the black dude says "did you have to cut of his arm to?" haha, that bit made me laugh.

shareI always thought, "You boy's go to school around here?" was pretty darn funny!
share"sometimes you've just got to forget your principles and do what's right!"
share"The four of them, with automatic rifles, against some swamp rat. I make it even money."
shareI still use this line often, usually when watching a hockey game after seeing one team take a run at an opposing player and his teammates do nothing because of the score of the game.
Still, I think I like "Just like steel pussy!" better.
By K. Caradine before they went out talkin about girls he has set up for them
"Six whores to combat awaiting our assult, and I'm sure they'll *beep* us in a more interesting way than the Louisiana National Guard has
You can't beat Reece's comment after the one armed Cajun is knocked to the floor
"You sure almost knocked his mouth down to his ass"
Yep!
Reece: "Like steel pussies." (looking at the bear traps)
Cribbs: "What kind of women you been hangin' out with?"
Classic!
One line I liked is "you don't say nuthin! You just better haul a**..souljah!" That whole scene with the one-armed Cajun talking to Spencer and Hardin from the bridge is especially good. Brion James, who plays the Cajun, is excellent. I loved how he shouts "Keel heem! Keel heem!" earlier in the film.
shareBrion James was indeed a great character actor. Check out The Player, and his reunion with his main nemesis in Southern Comfort - Reese (Fred Ward). Reese and the Cajun are buddies in The Player!
Dude means nice guy. Dude means a regular sort of person.
Thanks for the info. I'll be sure to watch The Player. I liked Brion in a lot of other movies. He's very much missed.
