Lost count......

I return to this film time and time again, it's grip still holds me as it did 5 years ago when i first saw it, i watched it originally on video, the print was very poor but it really didn't matter, as soon as ry cooder's score kicked in i was hooked.

It's a simple plot sure, but why does it need to be anything else, it's well acted, has a terrific score and it just has this itchy, sticky uneasy feeling of dread that i have never been able to shake, yeah the film ain't perfect and no film really is, but for me it ticks many boxes, and i suppose the only way to mark a film's greatness is how many times you reach for it on your shelf, and i really have lost count with this one, it is a brilliant film and probably walter hill's best, i thoroughly recommend
