I was rooting for the Cajuns


Most of those soldiers were such a*&$%@#s. Especially the guy who fired the machine gun at the Cajuns. What was he thinking?!

A few times during the film I was thinking the same thing- Everyone in that platoon needed to die. And earn a Darwin award. By comparison, they made the backwoods Cajuns appear as suave, opera-going, French Aristocrats. I don't blame the Cajun folk one bit for killing them.

Interestingly, the only two characters I had any sympathy for whatsoever, made it out alive. I'm sure this was the intent/design of the director.
