Re-release coming soon

Sharky's to be released on Nov. 7. Unfortunately in one of those three-for-the-price-of-one deals with Hooper and Stoker Ace. No word if Sharky or the others will be remastered or in wide screen.

Somebody in the marketing dept has a sense of humor. Sharky and Hooper are 2 of his best films and the only way to get them is with that career killing epicac, "Stroker Ace"...?

That's just mean.

reply

Yeah, some stunt eh?

reply

Agree with the post that noticed this is two of his best with his absolute worst. Oh well, if it's three disks, I can always throw Stroker Ace away. (And by the way - if you've never read the book "Stand On It" - the "source" for Stroker Ace, find it. It's funny as hell.

Are they all in 1.33:1 format?

that would suck, but still. Hooper and Sharkey are cool

reply

Yes, they're still in 1.33:1. It definitely sucks.

But they need to bring Malone to DVD too and make this a four pack then, or at least replace Stroker Ace with it. But too bad no 2.35:1 aspect ration on any of the great early 80s Reynolds flicks, I guess Burt just doesn't bring the heat like he used to for the Studio Big Wigs.
