Back in May 1990, ITV screened this on a Bank Holiday Monday night. I remember as an 11 year old, watching the first few minutes with my mum, dad and sister, before my mum decided to switch the telly off. I think she knew what sort of a film it would be.
Even back then, I could tell it was a TV version, because it seemed like it had been copied straight to videotape and it was shown right after the News at Ten.
8 years later, I got the video from Morrison's and it took me two viewings to really appreciate this top-notch Burt Reynolds thriller.
