Henry Silva- genius role of a lifetime? Potential spoiler?

The scene where he is wounded in the shootout at the end with Arch, and gets up, pointing the gun right at Arch's head, and screams that demented scream at him, twice! OMFG! I watched the movie again yesterday- I try to watch it every few years. This scene is mesmerizing!

And Rachel Ward isn't so tough on the eyes either. "It's a rose!" I melt every time. :D

I would love to ask Burt or Henry how this scene was scripted -if at all. The rest of his part was done with such delicate bits here and there too, in the eyes mostly.

Brilliant, IMO. Anybody else love this part especially?

It was genius. Oh, the seventies gave us some wonderful movies. We have lost some of that excitement today. Not everything has to have a reason. Not everything has to be explained.

(I know this was made in the 80s but still had many '70s traits)

Silva's 'Dilaudid enthusiast' hitman is right up there on my list of favorite movie badguys. I've seen him in so much stuff, at one point it seemed he was everywhere, he'd be popping up on Streets of San Francisco and such everytime you changed the channel. But Silva's 'Billy Score' is the most memorable in my book.

Silva did LOTS of good work. This is one of the finest.

A number of actors turned in memorable performances in "Sharky's Machine" and certainly Silva is one of them. Such intensity!

It reminds me of Gary Oldman's performance in "The Professional". Remember when he screams, "I said everybody!"?

But has anyone ever matched Silva's crazy-eyed intensity? I don't know. Who is John Galt?
