Great opening credit sequence!
Love the copter shot over the city, that eventually focuses on Burt walking along the train tracks. VERY COOL!

shareRandy Crawford singing the title song "Street Life". If you can find the "Crusaders - Street Life" album. I bought the album when the movie came out. Great Joe Sample, Wilton Felder, et al. Once you hear the whole album, you'll never turn back from some great groovy smooth jazz. Love this movie and soundtrack. Oh yeah...don't forget to listen to Chet Baker's version of "My Funny Valentine", also. Smooth as silk.
Regards,
Hey - try listening to "Street Life" while you're driving in the same general area where Burt is walking during the opening credits/first scenes of the movie. I almost did - the song came on the radio while I was on the west side of Atlanta. :)
Of course - it would be quite difficult to traverse those same streets that you see around the railroad tracks that Burt is walking on - those railroad tracks and industrial structures have long since been obliterated. The whole area was cleared to build the Georgia Dome (and - later on - an addition to the Georgia World Congress Center complex). The latest project to be constructed in that area? The future Atlanta Falcons Stadium.
I also love the opening scene to Sharky's Machine, another favorite opening scene for me is Mel Gibson's Payback, both movies come out of the gate fast and with a lot of action.
shareGood call on Payback...that frenetic horn music really drove the first four minutes or so of that movie intro.
Whose idea was it for the word "Lisp" to have an "S" in it?
