Has anyone else noticed how much the stuff that comes out of Freudstein when Norman first sticks the knife into him resembles spaghetti bolognese (before the maggots)?

Do you think that's what Fulci used (being Italian and that)?

I wouldn't be surprised if it was supposed to actually be spaghetti bolognese. That would have made as much sense as anything else in the film.
