I see this on a bunch of different "50 horror films" packs you find on amazon for like $5. I never thought a Fulci film would be in public domain.
On a side note, I love Fulci so much that I own both the Blue Underground and Arrow UK Blu ray releases of this. Same with City of the Living Dead. lol
Do you have it under the original title "House By The Cemetery" on any of those comps? The title I've seen it under in the public domain is "Zombie Hell House", I have it under that title on a small 4-movie compilation. There could be a legal loophole allowing that version to be in the public domain, maybe they didn't renew the copyright under that title.
No--i also have it as part of the Pure Terror 50 movie horror pack from Mill Creek under the "House By The Cemetery" title and have seen other cheap-o DVDs with the same title. I don't know how/why it's public domain. Maybe the US distributor goofed up and never got it copyrighted here? I've actually NEVER seen it with the "Zombie Hell House" title though. Interesting... What are the titles on that like?
