Over all the movie is really not bad, yes there are a lot of holes, and im not sure if it depends on the censureship, or just bad editing.
what pist me off most is the end:

Beside the fact that i never seen a zombie over 200 years old in such a bad shape but with such a great power, i mean where does it get all the strainght ?
he is just a living magget!!!, anyways he kills father and mother wile the kids is climbing to salvation a hand grab him and it is Freuderstein´s wife and daughter.... now... is the kid dead but his soul trap in the house with the wako family? is the freuderstein family still Alive and adopt the kid?
the depressing song go on ,and now a message on the screen is asking if the monsters are kids or the kids are monsters... did freuderstein incarnate in the kid ?
Please someone explain.....

I second that! The ending really leaves us with some those unanswered questions!! If anyone can answer them, please let me know to...this movie had a good erie feel to it, but what happend to the kid in the end?!?!!

I find it sad to see people who get "pist"[sic] at what they don't understand. Seems so.... prehistoric. Either try to understand what you don't, or steer yourself in another direction.

It was explained that he lives off the ones he kills.

You can't start a post angrily if at the end you'll ask people to explain.

Honestly, the movie itself is not bad, though a little ridiculous with the amount of gore splattering around. The dubbing is just awful, though, and really needed a supervising sound editor that spoke English as a first language. AS far as the ending goes, it IS confusing a bit, what I got out of it was Dr. Freudstein is a red herring, he is stuck in that basement killing people so his wife, who set the deal up, gets a new child to look after every once in a while. As to whether she is dead and has to get them drawn into death with her, or she is the one who got the good version of the eternal life, it doesn't really matter, either way would work. On the whole, none of that matters at all, the movie is one giant plothole waiting to happen, so just enjoy it for what it does do well, which is create creepy atmosphere.
