I could see that, this film had a lot of potential but kind of lost me towards the end.

Yea - the atmosphere was great though - the deputy was like a 'Hoff version of Dewey

No. Scream is pretentious nonsense. This movie has some genuinely scary moments in it.

Student Bodies is much closer to Scream in that it doesn't take the genre seriously.
