I thought it was a good idea, but it was incredibly slow for such a short film, the 97 minutes felt like days. Plus Speeds voice was annoying, would it kill him to try and use a bit of emotion in his voice?
Maybe its because I didn't see it when I was a youngster like all the people who are going to post on here and tell me my opinion's wrong?
Dave Speed's voice and charater are a big part of what make this film a classic. Add Ernest Borgnine and so many great parts and dialogue and you have a classic. I think you are alone. No one else has posted here. You do have your right to your opinion, but I would say try the film again. I found out about this film from a friend a few years ago and I watch it once a month.
shareSpeed's voice and personality was the best part of the movie. I can understand that the movie isn't for everybody and by today's standards, it's pretty slow. I've shown it to a few friends who haven't seen it, and my two kids, and they all loved it.
