According to the imdb, there is a director's cut of the film in 1988 on LD. I asked a question on the blog of this since someone on imdb has lied about this. This is one of my favorite films, NO SUCH CUT EXISTS. The best cut, which was released in Europe under Piranha II: Flying Killers is available on US DVD and VHS under Piranha II: The Spawning that came out in in 2003 from Columbia, the same distributor in Europe when the film was released. It is the same cut as flying killers. Ask me any questions on this film, and I can answer it, even from the first regular TV broadcast. It doesn't matter to me, since Assonitis version with Cameron's great help is perfect for me. PS The Embassy Video is not Cameron's version or Assonitis version, it was just chopped up when released in 1983 like Assonitis' The Visitor was in early 1980 when that that was released in the US. I will eventually do a review on the facts of this pretty soon.

James Cameron appeared on "THE HOUR" earlier this year, host George Stroumboulopoulos asked about James actuall breaking in and cut his own version, but James wouldn't admit it, as it's illegal obviously. If James made a version, it was more than likely destroyed.
