Jupiter is indeed a gas planet. But the setting of this film was one of its moons, Io, which I assume is solid.
shareThe moons are solid. Europa, Ganymede and Callisto.
Ganymede is larger than both Mercury and Pluto. And Europa contains large amounts of ice above a liquid ocean

Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, yes it is. But if you had half a brain you would have noticed it didn't take place on Jupiter, but rather one of it's moons called Io. Apparently you poor research quite often.......incredidumbass.
share"incredidumbass" is my new favourite word. By incredidumbassian logic, THE SUN is gas, so all the movies set on Earth are wrong. I shall notify Hollywood immediately.

mine too
There was at least one scene where you saw the mining facility AND Jupiter in the background
obviously you didn't even watch the movie
shareNot that it matters much sense, yes, we're on Io in the film - whether Jupiter is completely gas or not is still not known.
