Is there an uncut version?

In each version of the movie that I have seen, at the end, after Stallone shoots Hauer, Hauer miraculously has two bullet wounds, then, as if by magic appears to have four bullet wounds, and after the second time that Stallone shoots him has six bullet wounds. I'm certain this scene was cut to minimise the violence, but makes no sense in continuity whatsoever, bearing in mind the scene at the shooting range where stallone places six carefully placed shots into a target to inflict as much pain and injury as possible.

Is there an uncut version of this DVD somewhere in existence?

Hi there was just about to buy the DVD when i checked dvd.compare.net they showed these DVD comparisons

OVERALL: Draw - Between the R2 and R4 -releases, since they are all anamorphic (but also TV-versions).

Cuts
R1 (America) - This seems to be the TV-version. In the ending, Da Silva is seen to shoot Wolfgar only twice (instead of six times) (Thank you for the Rewind user Denim for confirming this).
R2 (Italy) - Cut-status not confirmed, but this seems to be the same print by Paramount.
R2 (Scandinavia) - 95:09 min (PAL). This seems to be the TV-version. In the ending, Da Silva is seen to shoot Wolfgar only twice (instead of six times) (Thank you for the Rewind user JaLe for confirming this).
R2 (United Kingdom) - 95:09 min (PAL). This seems to be the TV-version. In the ending, Da Silva is seen to shoot Wolfgar only twice (instead of six times) (Thank you for the Rewind user Satdan for confirming this).
R4 (Australia) - 95:09 min (PAL). This seems to be the TV-version. In the ending, Da Silva is seen to shoot Wolfgar only twice (instead of six times) (Thank you for the Rewind user Satdan for confirming this).

Seems well have to wait for a SE edition :(

Be interesting to find out if the theatrical release also contained the altered ending. If all current video and DVD releases contain this ending, then im sure the theatrical release also suffered the same fate. I guess the MPAA weren't too thrilled at the time (1981) to see Wulfgar get shot six times by a cop, hence the cuts.

I think the mentioned scene isn't uncut but I notice that other cuts are also present in tv version:the original version is only in vhs or in dvd, because all times I have seen the movie at tv so far I have never seen the complete scene when Wulfgar puts his Knife towards the direction of Fox and cuts his jaw;in tv versions you can see Fox screaming and then Wulfgar escaping by subway while in the original version you can see blood coming out from Fox'face too then Da Silva who asks people for help and tells Wulfgar "bastard I'll Kill you,you are already dead!!!"

The footage from the NTSC VHS release of Terror In The Aisles is not the uncut version. When they show that specific scene from Nighthawks, they intercut footage from another film, Vice Squad. I had a look at my copy of Terror In The Aisles, just to be sure. Not sure if there is any difference between the NTSC release and the overseas release.

The Region 2 DVD I have got (Netherlands release) has some cuts I believe, similar to the ones in the BBC version I taped years ago. Most notable is the absence of the actual explosion of Wulfgar's London department store bomb. As far as I can remember there was an elaborate explosion scene in the original Dutch rental copy I used to watch again and again. Do I remember this correctly, was the London bomb cut from the R2 DVD? And if so why? Can't remember it being too graphic, was it deemed unsuitable for the UK public at the time when IRA attacks were very common? The BBFC website does not indicate any cuts made by them.

I just purchased the UK PAL analogue Laserdisc on eBay, does anyone know if this version includes the London bomb and the Brown Sugar song?

And this WAS released to the home video market with the full, 6-shot ending at some point, because it's the only version I remember seeing until I found that lame, 2004 DVD. If the Goodtimes 1999 DVD still has the TV version of the ending, then I'm guessing VHS would be the only current way to see the theatrical "6-shot" ending. My lord...

Wait a minute... who am I here?
