Number of gunshots in early cable showings (spoilers)

This is one of those movies I used to watch a lot when it was on HBO and Cinemax back in the 80's. And I am pretty darn sure that back then Wolfgar got six shots.

I remember the first time I saw him get 2 shots was the TV edit.

Now, it is possible that the theatrical version was 2 shots and when ti went to cable they put in the more violent finale (Dressed To Kill, went to cable in a more violent and sexy version then was shown in the theater)

But I am pretty sure I saw six shots back in the day.

So far, there has been no proof or evidence of an uncut version of the film being shown anywhere. All existing prints of the film contain the cut finale.
