Looks like the Blu-Ray won't have any of the missing footage

Shout! Factory finally posted the specs for the disc and there's no mention of any of the previously excised footage. Whether Shout! couldn't find any or opted to not include it is a mystery. Sad news indeed since this release was probably the only hope we had to ever see that footage. I truly hate Universal. They're notorious for throwing cut footage away and improperly storing the films they keep. Idiots. Plus, I defy anyone to name a studio with more titles that have never been released on video, in any format. F--k Universal.

If that's the case I am not going to bother with the Blu-Ray. Screw it.

I think even Stallone has attempted to prod Universal into restoring the missing footage -- without success. And if the movie's leading man (and an international superstar to boot) can't get the studio to budge on this issue, it's a cinch that Shout Factory is probably -- uh -- shouting into a hurricane.

This is too bad. Someone need to do interview with Sly about this movie while he’s still alive. I bet he’s got some more interesting stories to tell. This movie is kinda overlooked and deserves more or we will lose all those moments like tears in the rain.
