I wonder why this movie hasn't been released on DVD in the US? The last time I saw it was when I rented the VHS of it, back in 1982 or so. Good movie!

Could it be song rights clearances? That seems to be the common reason why lots of 1980s films are still only on VHS, that or the director refusing any other home releases. Was there another VHS release besides Interglobal Home Video? For some reason they did tons of movies in the 1980s that were never released on DVD or Bluray, but their EP duplication and age/quality leaves a lot to be desired.
shareYou know, I bet it does have something to do with song rights. I never thought of that. That's a shame, I really loved that movie. I watched it a bunch of times. Not very many good Kristy MacNichol movies, and a great Dennis Quaid one. I'm so overdue to see it again. Very underrated.
