I've read a review about the upcoming French DVD. Here it is (in French):
http://www.devildead.com/indexfilm.php3?FilmID=1626
The picture quality is said to be OK (but not perfect) and anamorphic. English 5.1 and mono tracks are avalaible.
The special features made especially for this edition are: two featurettes (in French) about the movie and the self-defense genre.
The DVD cover says: "Edition Intégrale" (Full Uncut Version) but I hope it's really uncut; you never know if they're not mistaken...
The realease is scheduled for March 11th.
I think I'll buy it; I'll tell you if it's uncut or not.

I got the confirmation that the new French region 2 DVD is uncut: ckeck here to see which scenes were trimmed on the R-rated cut, and an image comparison between the French DVD (from Aquarelle) and the region 1 DVD (from Image),:

Merci beau-coup mon Chat. (Sorry I don't write/speak French)
Does this new French release also contain the supermarket scene which is on the Image disc, but not on my accidental almost uncut bar the supermarket scene U.K video release. No matter, I want one. So tragic Ms Lund did not give us more screen time.
Thanks for the links.

The supermarket scene is intact, if you mean the short scene just before the first rape.
If you like Tamerlis/Lund I presume you've seen Larry Cohen's SPECIAL EFFECTS? I think that's her best non-Ferrara film.
