The filming location section is quite weak on this movie

Considering how iconic the street scenes are, and how great it is to glimpse back in time, I am surprised no one has added any of the particular locations for this movie. Being a born and bred New Yorker, seeing the city the way I prefer to think of it is always a nice thing. I know there was a scene on 32nd Street on the west side, also one on 42nd Street. There is one scene which I am pretty sure is a side street below Houston near the Bowery, and when she is running you can see the Bowery ahead of her I think. There's a few places I would love to know, and one I figured out and added to the filming location page, let's see if imdb actually adds it. When she is watching the Asian couple in front of the Baskin-Robbins ice cream shop, that is 40 Mott Street in Chinatown in New York City. It is the corner of Mott and Pell Street, and you can see the door is right on the corner of both streets, just like the Baskin-Robbins. Plus if you have a copy of the movie and go to that scene, you can see right behind the couple there is a sign that says Pell 34, which is now a Chinese restaurant on Pell Street. Google maps will take you there, use street view to see the way it looks now.

After that she follows the Asian guy down past Hop Kee and Wo Hop as well, which someone else can look up and add if they like. I've done my part, hopefully some other imdb members can each add one location. A nice screen shot comparison of the address, then and now, would also be a nice touch. I couldn't find a screen shot of that scene on the web.

Thana lived at the Clinton Gardens (404 West 54th, between 9th & 10th Ave) but the building's been redone. And the scene where she takes out the gang was of course at the Bethesda Fountain in Central Park, which is a very popular movie location. She worked in the Garment District, a few blocks southeast of Times Square, close enough to grab lunch with her coworkers at the long gone Brew & Burger (42nd & 8th)

Nice addition to this thread, glad to see someone else on the ball. I saw this in a theater recently, if I had the DVD and the time I would find all the other locations. I did see them walking past the subway in the beginning on 42nd and 8th, after leaving the garment district. I actually ate at a Brew & Burger many years ago, but wouldn't be able to remember which one, as I think there were multiple locations back then. Nice to have her building on the list now, thanks!
