Theory about the ending...

Hello,

Since everybody always seems (understandably) to have a "What the...?" reaction to the ending of Pieces (I did too at my first viewing years ago), I just thought I'd share my theory as to what it's all about.

It's important to remember that the film's "hero", Kendall, is supposedly the "campus stud", a real womanizer (don't ask me why :>). The "puzzle woman" corpse ("stitched" together by the killer) was made up of various parts of the bodies of female students on that college's campus. We know that Kendall was going to meet one of the victims for an "encounter" in the school's swimming pool. He likely knew the other victims as well.

My theory is that the between the legs "treatment" that Kendall receives at the hand of the corpse was a kind of "payback" for his "love them and leave them" ways in which he had dealt with his former "lovers" (whose anatomy made up the "puzzle").

Sound plausible? What do you think?

Sam

I agree 100%, aside from the fact that it made for a freakish final shot, it did have a sort of revenge tone to it, the stud loses what he values the most, plus we know that women dig jewels.

Yup. You got it spot on.
