I was wondering if anyone knows the name of the college that was used in the opening sequence with the girl on the skateboard who smashed in to the mirror. I read that all of the college campus scenes were shot in Madrid, Spain but I can't seem to find out any information on the location.
shareHi, I don't remember the exact location it was too many years ago (I'm the girl on the scateboard who is the same one as the one who's head is cut off!)but I'm sure it wasn't a college. I'll try to remember! Some of my posts have been removed, I don't know why... I was only giving actual facts about the film.
shareHi Jodancer, thanks for responding to my post. I am a big fan of the film, and was always wondering where those buildings were located in Madrid. That's interesting that they didn't film on a college campus, because the area really looks like a university. can you recall the general area, such as cross streets or the name of that part of Madrid?
shareOnline, one can never be sure if people are telling the truth. But, Jodancer, if you are in fact Pieces "alumni" then I salute you! Ya know, I actually had to see the movie a couple times before I noticed that character appeared in two scenes. Eventually I noticed she was wearing the same outfit.
shareHi latherzap, Most people don't realise it's the same girl as they cut some scenes out which would have made sense. I had other scenes cut out too (maybe acting was not one of my best points!!) I actually have photos of a cut scene with my head on the ground during filming. They built a platform and filled it with grass and I had to put my head through a hole so it looked like it was just my head. Took ages to do too. The same platform was used for the body which is shown in the film. That time I had to lay on the grassy platform and put my head through the hole so it seemed that there was a body with no head. I don't know if you can post photos here and I have to scan them as there was not digital in those days. If you are interested I can scan them and post them somewhere??

Apparently your character did not get injured too badly when she (they never did give her a name, did they?) hit that big mirror?....Ah, I just saw your other post, regarding her apologizing amongst the glass.

They used Ciudad Universitaria's buildings, both Complutense and Politecnica. Many scenes were filmed around the sport area near the beggining of Avenida de Valladolid
