I'm wondering why they are "gifted"?
And also am I right that there were only like 6 campers? There were only two boy campers and like 3 or 4 girls.
There were more camp counselor a than campers! Lol

I didn't keep count but there were more than two boys cause Richie stayed behind while the other boys went back to the cabin and covered for him. I know one was a blonde.
Not sure what to make of "gifted" though. Was the term a kind way to imply there was something off about them (like autism or Asperger's) or that they were gifted intellectually? I didn't see any firm indication of either, as Richie is the only kid we spend any amount of time with and he was a troublemaker. The counselors certainly seemed gifted in the...special sense. Hiding in the fridge, etc. Maybe they needed a retreat for gifted counselors.
"something off" would imply they have a mental disability like the 2 you mentioned,
